IN-OFFICE EXAMINATIONS
EKG
An EKG is a test to examine the heart’s electrical signals. If you have a heart condition or experience discomfort in your chest, our physicians will recommend completing an EKG to monitor/diagnose the cause.
H.Pylori Test
If you are experiencing abdominal pain, bloating, unintentional weight loss, it may be a good idea to get a H. Pylori Test. This test, most commonly done through a stool test, will examine your digestive system for any abnormal bacterial infection.
Urine Test
Our doctors at East Sunrise Medical Clinic complete urine tests to check for signs of common diseases. It is a part of the routine check during your physical exams.
Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
These tests are done to figure out how well your lungs are performing. The main measurements for the PFT are lung volume, capacity, rates of flow, and gas exchange. This may be a part of your routine physical exam or pre-employment exam, or could also be completed to figure out underlying conditions that may trigger allergies, asthma, or respiratory infections.
Dermatology
Dermatology is the study of our skin, hair, and nails. Our professional doctors are skilled in diagnosing conditions related to your skin and other cosmetic concerns. Speak to us today if you have any underlying concerns related to your skin.
Gynecology
Gynecology exams may be nerve wracking, but don’t worry. Our doctors are professionals in completing necessary wellness exams or addressing any concerns related to your reproductive system. Some exams completed at our facility are pelvic exams, pap smears, and breast exams to ensure your gynecological health is in top-shape.
Thyroid Disease
Thyroid Disease is a very common issue, especially with women being eight times more likely than men to have a thyroid problem. It is best to be aware of such problems in the early stages.
Thyroid disease can be determined through a physical examination of the thyroid gland (size, texture, tenderness, and mobility) and a hormone bloodwork, which measures the level of TSH being produced from your glands. Our doctors at East Sunrise Medical can help determine these issues if you are having symptoms of thyroid disease.
Cosmetic Medicine
Cosmetic medicine is becoming more and more popular today to all age groups. East Sunrise Medical can take care of your cosmetic concerns through professionally-conducted treatments ranging from lifting, body sculpting, injections, and our popular FemiLift (a nonsurgical laser energy procedure designed to treat the tissue of the vaginal walls). We are committed in rewinding your biological clock to help you with maintaining your youthful appearance - inside and out.
Pre-Surgery Exams
Some of the most common exams done for pre-surgery are chest x-rays, ECGs, urinalysis, white blood count, and complete blood count (CBC).
Immigration Physical Exam, USCIS Certified Location
Our physicians are licensed to conduct the medical examination needed for immigrants applying for a green card in the United States.
The exam itself reviews past medical history and a physical examination. After you complete the physical exam, our doctors will complete Form I-693 and submit the form to the USCIS. Please make sure you bring your government-issued ID, immunization record, medical insurance card, and payment to our office when coming in for your Immigration Exam.
Physical Examination
Our office performs annual physical exams to all our patients and is a vital exam for preventative health care. Exams range from Pre-employment physicals, Routine Gynecological Exam (PAP Smear), to immunizations and vaccines.
If you have an upcoming routine checkup or need an exam completed for your new employment, please do not hesitate to give us a call to schedule an appointment with our physicians.
TLC Exams
In NYC, the TLC requires all for-hire drivers to complete a medical examination and be declared fit to drive. Typically, these exams include blood pressure and heart rate checks, hearing & vision screening, and a physical exam. Once you complete a TLC exam, our medical provider will certify that he/she has examined you and whether or not you are medically fit to drive a taxi or cab.
DMV Exams
DMV exams are very similar to TLC exams, but this is to test if you are fit to drive a vehicle in general. Depending on what our medical providers find during your exam, may affect your capabilities of driving a vehicle. Please call our office for more information on how to prepare for a DMV Medical Exam.
Flu Test
If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, do not hesitate to reach out to our experts and discuss our flu test completed at our facility. The test is easily completed with a swipe of the back of your throat or inside of your nose to detect any possible influenza parts.
Rapid Strep Test
Our rapid strep tests are easily completed by a quick rub of both tonsils with a cotton swab. That specimen is then examined for any Strep infections, which may be causing extreme discomfort with your throat.
